For most compressed air applications, having contaminates in the air stream can cause equipment malfunctions, contaminated final products or other issues. Depending on your application, you may need a higher level of filtration of certain types of contaminates to prevent any issues for equipment or products that are downstream of your air compressor. Pneumatech offers various compressed air filter types that are capable of filtering out any type of contaminate or particle that needs to be removed from your compressed air stream.
What are the different types of filters?
Within the above categories, there are also different style filters for different applications:
Threaded filters are basic filters that are easy to maintain that have die case aluminum housings with special anodized treatment outside and inside to protect against corrosion. Pneumatech's line of threaded filters come in coalescing, particulate and adsorber options.
Pneumatech offers a NEW line of threaded filters: the Ultimate Filter Series. These filters not only achieve the highest air purity standards in line with ISO 8573-1:2010, they also incorporate the latest in filtration technology. The new filter housing reduces differential pressure loss which, when combined with the new element design, significantly improves air flow and performance, making the Ultimate filter one of the most energy efficient filter housings available. The Ultimate Series features new deep-pleated media, a new housing design for flexible installation and simplified serviceability and a new externally accessible drain. These filters are the ideal, market-leading solution for anyone in need of a threaded filter for their compressed air application.
Flanged filters are higher grade filters that have a special coating insuring a housing lifetime of at least 20 years and also have higher performance. These filters also come in coalescing, particulate and adsorber options and have up to 10,594 nominal cfm flow.
Carbon filters are high-efficiency filters that are capable of removing hydrocarbons, odors and oil vapors from compressed air. When combined with Pneumatech oil coalescing filters, these filters can prodce Class 1 air according to ISO 8573-1:2010.
High pressure filters handle high PSI levels coming from the air compressor and are used in high pressure applications. These filters have the maximum contaminant removal using highly efficient glass fiber and fleece media. These filters allow low pressure losses, increased energy savings and lower operating costs.
