If you are working or have employees working in a paint booth on a regular basis, operating without a proper breathing air supply is typically against safety regulations and is very unsafe. Breathing in these contaminates can result in life-long disabilities or even death. Providing your employees with a proper breathing air supply during specific jobs is ideal for the safety of your employees and for the longevity of your business. But how do you provide them with the proper breathing air?
Pneumatech's Breathing Air Solutions provide high-quality, OSHA grade D breathing air in a compact, easy-to-install package that is ideal for any business in need of breathing air. Typically, a breathing air unit for paint booths and other applications is referred to as a supplied air respirator (SAR). OHSA regulares the quality of compressed air used for SAR under OSHA 1910.134 Subpart (i)^2 as follows:
Pneumatech Breathing Air Purifiers provide all of the above requirements in addition to:
It is also important to note that the air compressor that is supplying the breathing air unit should be placed in a location so that the intake is not pulling any contaminates into the air stream. The air compressor intake should not be placed anywhere near high-dust areas, areas where a vehicle exhaust would be near, areas prone to bacteria, etc. Although there is a filtration process in the breathing air unit, the less contaminates that are present in the compressed air, the better.
Pneumatech offers both a standard and HE (high-efficiency) versions of the breathing air purifiers. To browse the full lines, please click HERE. Have questions about the breathing air purifiers or would like to have your facility evaluated for a unit? Contact Us to schedule an evaluation.
