The Pneumatech PSMD 3-35 combines compressed air drying efficiency with zero maintenance for the most demanding applications. Because it is not powered by electricity, our membrane dryer ensures safe operation in harsh and critical environments such as laboratories. Ultra quiet, it is also ideal for point-of-use installation and small spaces.

 

The PSMD does not have any moving components, which makes it easy to use and 100% maintenance-free. Thanks to its very low pressure drop and purge air use, it also maximizes energy savings. The PSMD offers the choice between two types of membranes to achieve the pressure dew point suppression (32°C/90°F or 55°C/131°F) that works best for you.

Membrane dryer technology

A membrane dryer features a cylinder with thousands of tiny hollow polymer fibers. Using their selective permeability, these fibers remove water vapor from compressed air. While other dryers ensure a fixed dew point at the outlet, a membrane dryer lowers the dew point (PDPS or pressure dew point suppression) of the inlet air by fixed number of degrees. The PSMD 3-32 to PSMD 35-32 offers a PDPS of 32°C/90°F at reference conditions. The PSMD 2-55 to PSMD 23-55 ensures a PDPS of 55°C/131°F at reference conditions.

The PSMD 3-35 membrane dryer and its two PMH Ultimate pre-filters efficiently remove oil particles and moisture from compressed air. It does so with a very low total cost of ownership and zero maintenance costs. Because the air travels straight through the dryer with minimal resistance and a reduced pressure drop, energy use is low. The PSMD also uses minimal purge air. Two types of membranes offer different pressure dew point suppression levels, 32°C and 55°C. The PSMD does feature moving components and does not rely on electricity, which makes it safe to use in critical environments. Its compact size and flexible design allow application-specific orientation. An optional electronic drain, purge block, and wall mounting kit are available for performance and installation customization.
