The PPNG MX is a high-performance precision gas mixer engineered for the demands of laser cutting applications. It blends nitrogen and oxygen at the optimal ratio to combine the advantages of both assist gases – faster cutting and superior edge quality – while minimizing their drawbacks.

Compared to pure oxygen, a nitrogen-oxygen mix can increase cutting speeds by up to 5× on mild steel. For aluminum, the PPNG MX can boost speed by over 40%, while also delivering smoother surface finishes.

Pure nitrogen helps avoid oxidation but can produce significant burr on thicker materials. Oxygen cuts cleaner but leaves behind an oxide layer that requires additional processing. The PPNG MX eliminates these trade-offs by providing a stable gas mix that enables smooth, weld-ready edges with minimal burr and no oxide residue, reducing post-processing and increasing overall productivity.
